Netscape co-founder launches new “Facebook browser”


Almost two decades after writing code for the first popular Web browser ever, Marc Andreessen is releasing a “Facebook browser” in limited beta. The browser, called RockMelt, integrates social-media services into the Internet surfing experience, allowing for more seamless multitasking and eliminating the need for so many tabs. As the nickname indicates, the beta’s best integrated service is currently Facebook.
